Three people were plucked out of the waters of Sturgeon Bay off the Westwood Shores Resort, in the town of Sevastopol Monday afternoon. The Sturgeon Bay Fire Department was paged out at 5:30PM after a caller indicated that several individuals were in the water, a couple of miles off shore. The department’s boat, “Marine One” was sent, along with a smaller vessel, “Marine Two,” which was not used. The crew in “Marine One” found three males in the water. They had been using jet skis & were unable to get back on the personal watercraft after being thrown off. The trio, who suffered no ill effects from their time in the bay, was transported to shore in the fire boat & the jet skis were towed to the Beach Harbor Resort where they had been rented. Firefighters were back at the station at 6:20PM.
