Update On Snowmobile Fatality

A 13-year old Brussels boy died in a crash involving a snowmobile and truck Friday afternoon.  According to the Door County Sheriff’s Department, Brett M. Buhr was the driver and lone occupant of a snowmobile which was traveling east on a designated trail.  Brett had stopped the snowmobile before crossing County C.  As he then attempted to cross the road, the snowmobile was struck by a northbound truck.  The boy was taken to a Green Bay hospital, where he later died.  The driver of the truck, 47-year old Joel Jeanquart, also from Brussels, was not injured in the collision.  The Door County Sheriff’s Department is investigating and will release more information at a later time.
