The annual kickoff for the fundraising campaign of the United Way of Door County is just under three weeks away. Amy Kohnle, United Way executive director, says the event on Tuesday, August 23rd, offers an opportunity for people to learn more about United Way, to network & to have fun. This year, the kickoff will be held at the Lodge at Leathem Smith in Sturgeon Bay. Activities begin at 5PM with complimentary hors d’oeuvres, live music & a cash bar. The short kickoff program starts at 6PM. At that time, information on the campaign, impact areas & the results of early fundraising by pacesetter companies will be presented.
