The 17th annual Chefs for a Day fundraiser for the United Way of Door County is set for Saturday, October 20th at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club. The theme this year is “Buy Local, Cook Local, Eat Local.” That means that at least 50% of the ingredients used have either been grown or produced locally or purchased locally. Throughout the evening there will be a silent auction & raffles. Some items include jewelery, artwork, dining & golf certificates, clothing & more. The event also marks the end of the “A-Door-Able” mailbox raffle, sponsored by Coldwell Banker. All raffle proceeds benefit United Way.
