Two people were injured in a mobile home fire early Monday morning in Sturgeon Bay. Sturgeon Bay Fire Chief Tim Herlache says the call came in at 3:34AM & eight units & twenty nine firefighters were sent to 1317 West Walnut Drive. The first units on the scene found the mobile home fully engulfed in flames. Fire crews used about 4,300 gallons of water to put the blaze out. The home is considered a total loss. The two occupants of the home sustained inhalation burns & were transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center before being transferred to a hospital in Green Bay, one of them has since been sent to the Milwaukee Burn Center. Chief Herlache noted that the mobile homes on either side of the burned out trailer also sustained damage due to the fire. Herlache said the site will be inspected to try to determine a cause for the fire. Firefighters were back at the station at 5:25AM Monday.
