Tree Trimming Continues In Nasewaupee

Sturgeon Bay Utilities and it’s contractor, Dave’s Tree Service, are resuming tree trimming activities in the Town of Nasewaupee. The remaining areas to be trimmed this winter include Roalkvam Road, Park Drive, and County M, along with all connecting roads north of Hainesville Road.

The Utilities’ Jason Bieri says, along with the normal trimming program, the focus is on removal of overhanging limbs and dying or leaning trees that could cause extended power outages during a wind or ice storm. Some evergreen trees will be topped an average 2 – 3 feet or removed, depending upon the location. All other species will be targeted for removal reducing the need for future trimming  or clearing. Trees and branches within the utilities easement will be trimmed back 8 – 10 feet based on trimming requirements.

The trimming is being done to ensure public and employee safety along with assisting on outage prevention. Any questions should be directed to Sturgeon Bay Utilities at 746-2820.
