Three people were injured in a rollover accident Thursday evening in which their car caught fire & burned on County Trunk S, near Tagge road, in the Town of Nasewaupee. The accident report indicates that the vehicle driven by Jordyn McAfee of Algoma was southbound on S when the car drifted onto the gravel on the shoulder. McAfee tried to steer back onto the roadway, but lost control & the car entered the ditch where it struck a tree stump & went airborne. After glancing off a large tree, the vehicle came to rest on top of a pickup truck parked in a driveway. The car rolled off the pickup & came to rest on its wheels, then started to burn. The occupants were able to scramble away from the burning vehicle & the parked 2000 GMC Sonoma, owned by Amber Weidner, was driven away to keep it from being damaged by the fire. McAfee & a passenger, Lacey Shaw of Algoma, were transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center for treatment. Another passenger, Jeremiah Kleimola, also of Algoma, refused treatment for his injuries. McAfee was cited for failing to have her vehicle under control.
