Sunshine House Receives Sustainability Grant

The Sunshine House in Sturgeon Bay was recently awarded a sustainability grant from the Door County Community Foundation. The funding comes from the health and human needs fund to support a technology upgrade and reconfiguration of the agency’s printers. The upgrade will significantly reduce per page costs in comparison to outdated equipment while increasing output quality and efficiency. Because of the new equipment, the Sunshine House can continue to lower expenses which in turn will enable low programming costs for its clients. The charge-rates of training or care has not increased in over five years which has allowed the Sunshine House to offer services at cost levels that its clients and partners can afford. The Sunshine House, established in 1971 in Sturgeon Bay, provides quality services for Door County citizens with special needs and disabilities.
