A 33 year old DePere man remains hospitalized with a serious head injury as a result of a beating he received in Sturgeon Bay early Saturday morning. According to the Sturgeon Bay Police Department, officers found the man unconscious and bleeding from the head on the pavement outside a downtown bar. A 27 year old resident of North Dakota was arrested in connection with the fight involving the injured man. A series of interviews were conducted with the suspect and witnesses and officers determined the fight was over comments one man made to the other. Paramedics treated the injured man at the scene and he was transported to Ministry Door County Medical Center. The suspect was jailed on charges related to substantial battery.
