Sturgeon Bay Woman’s Preliminary Hearing Set in Homicide Case

A 52 year-old Sturgeon Bay woman charged in the stabbing death of her roommate has requested a preliminary hearing in the case. Susan Soukup faces a first-degree homicide charge from the stabbing. The criminal complaint says Soukup called 9-1-1 on August 25th and said that she “just did something really terrible”. When officers arrived at the apartment they found a 32 year-old victim on the floor with deep stab wounds to her back and neck. The victim later died in the hospital. Soukup requested this preliminary hearing for the state to present its case against her. Now we have recently learned this preliminary hearing has been scheduled for 10:00 am on Monday November 9th.
