Sturgeon Bay Utilities Offers Recycling Program

Do you have old computer gear that you would like to get rid of? How about lamps & ballasts? Sturgeon Bay Utilities is coordinating a recycling service for these materials on Wednesday, December 14th at no cost to it’s customers. By participating in the program, the local utility will see to it that customers’ materials that may contain contaminants are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. Customers with quantities over 300 items may have the materials picked up at their place of business by calling Sturgeon Bay Utilities before recycling day. Light bulbs, ballasts, batteries & computer components such as monitors, cpus & keyboards, may be brought to the Sturgeon Bay Utilities office at 230 East Vine Street on December 14th between 7:30AM & 3PM. All light bulbs & ballasts must be in boxes, closed & taped to secure the materials. Quantities must be written on the outside of each box. All batteries must have the ends taped. the local utility has the right to deny acceptance of any materials. Any questions should be directed to this phone number 746-2820.
