Three Sturgeon Bay teenagers were arrested Monday in connection with a shooting incident involving an air soft gun capable of firing plastic b-b’s. A seventh grade student at TJ Walker Middle School was hit in the hand at about 4:15PM when the trio, ages 16 & 17, drove by in a pickup truck & fired at him. The victim & other students provided a description of the vehicle & the teens who also had been shooting at signs. During questioning, officers were told the group had initially wanted to shoot at friends as a joke but, not finding any, fired at the middle schooler instead. The teenagers could be charged with disorderly conduct & violating the city ordinance related to the discharge of a firearm or air gun within the city limits. In Wisconsin, a 17-year old can be charged as an adult.
