The Sturgeon Bay police department is reminding residents & visitors that the overnight parking ban in the city is in effect & will be enforced. The recent period of relatively mild weather & the lack of snow has led the department to relax enforcement of the city ordinance that requires vehicles to be off the street between the hours of 2AM & 6AM. The idea is to keep streets open so snowplow crews can do their work more freely during winter storms. Those who don’t have access to off street parking can purchase a permit in order to keep their vehicle on the street. Those who ignore the parking ban will likely receive a $15 ticket.
