Sturgeon Bay Papa Murphy’s Pizza Re-opens Friday

It was around 4:00 early in the morning of Tuesday February 16th when a fire broke out within the same building of the Papa Murphy’s Pizza location on Sturgeon Bay’s Egg Harbor Road. As Manager Sherry Riederer explains, there was very extensive soot and smoke damage throughout the building, everywhere except in the walk-in cooler. The location has been closed for cleaning since that Tuesday for the soot and smoke had to be scrubbed out of the walls, the ceiling, above the ceiling, and in the duct work. That morning of the fire, they were fully stocked and prepared for their popular Tuesday promotion, their busiest day of the week. Luckily, all the food in the walk-in cooler was completely safe and they were able to donate it to the Algoma School District. Now, 3 weeks later, they are finishing up the extensive cleaning and are preparing to re-open this Friday. Starting Friday they will return to the same regular hours they had before the fire, open from 12:00 noon to 6:00 pm everyday, also with curbside service on Tuesdays for a safer pick-up during that day’s promotion.
