Sturgeon Bay High School 2020 Commencement Ceremony

Sturgeon Bay High School has announced updated plans for the class of 2020 commencement ceremony. A pre-recorded program will be broadcast through various social media outlets which will include remarks from Superintendent Dan Tjernagel, Salutatorian Fletcher Hubbard, Valedictorian Nicholas Herbst, and Principal Robert Nickel. It will also include a senior night slide show. Then on Saturday May 30th, there will be a boat procession of the live commencement ceremony. The procession will launch from Madelyn Marina where each senior will be called to the pier, given their diploma, and have their official graduation picture taken before boarding a boat. There will be one or two graduates per boat, and the boats will run along the east side of the bay to Stone Harbor before crossing and returning to Madelyn Marina along the west side. The public is invited to observe from any public property and to wear Clipper apparel or red & white. In order to preserve social distancing parents, guardians, and family members are asked to not gather at the marina. This boat procession is planned for Saturday May 30th at 1:00 pm, with a rain-date set for Sunday May 31st at 1:00 pm.
