The Sturgeon Bay City Council took the first step in tightening up its ordinance related to liquor licenses by approving the first reading of changes to the municipal code. City Attorney Randy Nesbitt says a recent situation arose when a liquor license became available, exposing some holes in the current ordinance. Nesbitt read new language that will cover the use of liquor licenses…
Nesbitt also explained how the ordinance will be changed to explain what will happen if a liquor license is surrendered…
Nesbitt said all liquor license holders will be informed of the new requirements once the council adopts them. A second reading must be okayed before the upgraded ordinance becomes part of the municipal code.
