Sturgeon Bay Brush Collection Starts

City street department crews started the process of collecting brush city-wide in Sturgeon Bay Monday. As in the past, brush must be placed at the curb and street department crews will make only one pass through neighborhoods in the city. Brush must be cut into 6 foot lengths or less and placed parallel to the curb. Sidewalk access should not be blocked when putting the brush out for collection. It should also be noted that the city no longer collects leaves and grass clippings during the spring. Residents may bring leaves, grass clippings, stones and other garden waste for disposal to the compost site off Division Road 7 days a week. Anyone with questions should contact the Sturgeon Bay Public Works Department at 746-2912.
