Stevastopol Superintendent Search

The search for a new superintendent for the Sevastopol School District will not include the use of consulting services to find the top candidate. The board of education has decided that it has several members on board who have the expertise to get the job done without spending district funds on consulting fees. Though he has not taken official action, District Administrator Steve Cromell has indicated that he wishes to retire at the end of the current school year, closing out a 39-year career in education. Cromell has been at the school in Institute since July of 2007. By all accounts, he has been very happy during his time at Sevastopol atnd the school board has given him high marks for his administrative skills. The hope is that the superintendent search process will lead to the selection of a top candidate who can take over the administrative duties by July 1st.
