Star Gazing at Crossroads

For those who want to experience star gazing, the Door Peninsula Astronomical Association is offering a viewing night Saturday at the astronomy campus at Crossroads at Big Creek in Sturgeon Bay. Beginning at 7PM, members of the organization will be in the star garden with telescopes & astronomical binoculars available for visitors. The planet Jupiter & several of its moons will probably be the highlights of the evening, but you never know. This will be a clear sky only event. To reach the astronomy campus, turn east on Utah Street & travel up the hill. At the stop sign, turn left into the Crossroads preserve. Night vision red lights will show you where to go. Crossroads at Big Creek is a donor supported preserve welcoming learners of all ages to activities in science, history & the environment. The Collins Learning Center, located near the intersection of Highway 42/57 & Michigan Street, in Sturgeon Bay, is open from 2PM to 4PM daily & during scheduled events.
