Southern Door High School To Receive Grant

Southern Door High School is 1 of 14 schools in the region to receive $1,000 grants from the Wisconsin Public Service Foundation. A total of 32 applications for grant funding were received by the foundation as part of the 2012/2013 Innovative Educator Program. Now in it’s 6th year, the program awards teaching programs in the areas of science, technology, engineering and math.

Southern Door’s submission focused on a plant tissue culture study. An independent panel of judges from the energy education field selected the finalists for WPS.

The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation is funded by corporation shareholders and not by natural gas or electric customers.
