The Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay may be closing to vehicles and pedestrians on Monday, but not snowmobiles. The DOT has announced that snowmobiles will be able to cross the bridge through Sunday, March 10th. The DOT decision comes after Jeff May of May’s Sports Center asked for consideration on the matter. May said he was concerned that some riders would try to cross on the ice, which is very dangerous at this time of year. The accommodation will help snowmobilers get the word out that the bridge-crossing will soon be closed to them.
