A snowmobiler was wet, but none the worse for wear, after the machine he was operating went through the ice on the east side of Little Sturgeon Bay in Door County Saturday afternoon. According to the DNR, the Algoma man was traveling on newly formed ice at about 2:30PM when he broke through & the snowmobile went to the bottom, about ten feet down. Fishermen in the area said the ice was only about an inch thick at that location. The man was given thirty days to remove the snowmobile. It was retrieved Sunday.
