Snow Storm Causes Power Outages

A steady snow fall & high winds made for some difficult weather conditions in Door & Kewaunee Counties Tuesday. The gusty winds accompanying the snow storm kept utility crews busy as power outages were reported in several parts of the area. At one point Wisconsin Public Service reported close to 1500 customers were without power. Most of the outages were located in the Brussels & Forestville areas, but WPS also encountered electrical disruptions near Sturgeon Bay & Ellison Bay. The utility had all of the outages cleared up by the noon hour.

Sturgeon Bay Utilities reported a handful of electrical service disruptions in its coverage area, mostly in the vicinity of County U. The power was restored shortly after the first calls came in at around 6:30AM.
