The Sturgeon Bay Skatepark Initiative has announced that it is halfway to meeting the funding needed to build a ten thousand square foot, poured concrete skatepark on the west side of Sturgeon Bay. The local organization’s goal is $405,000 & to date, just over $200,000 in gifts & pledges has been secured. The project is being done in partnership with the City of Sturgeon Bay. The park will be located on the corner of West Spruce Street & Green Bay Road & will be open to skaters & BMX bikers alike. Design plans for the park were created by Grindline Design of Seattle, Washington, one of the country’s top skatepark design firms.
