A Town of Sevastopol man was seriously injured when the tree he was cutting fell on him Tuesday afternoon. Sixty seven year old Don Stockwell was air-lifted to a Green Bay hospital for treatment of a possible spinal cord injury. Sturgeon Bay firefighters & Sevastopol first responders were sent to the scene of the accident shortly before 12:30PM. Stockwell said he was cutting a large birch tree by himself when it started to fall. He attempted to get behind another tree, but was struck across the stomach & pinned beneath the birch tree. Stockwell indicated he had no feeling below the waist.
