The search for a new Door County Administrator has attracted some interest, but there’s still a month to go before the deadline for submitting resumes has passed. In April, supervisors voted to retain the County Administrator form of government & tabbed County Corporation Counsel Grant Thomas as interim administrator. The board also opted to utilize staff to facilitate the search for a replacement for Michael Serpe, who was let go in March. Kelli Hendee, Personnel/Human Resources Director, was given the task of setting up the mechanism for attracting interested candidates. The deadline to submit applications is July 27th & the hope is that out of several dozen submissions a new County Administrator can be found.
