Fresh off the decision to retain the position of Door County administrator in light of the termination of Michael Serpe, the search for a replacement has begun. However, rather than employing a consultant to coordinate the search, the work will be done in house. Human resources director Kelly Hendee will be charged with working out the logistics of seeking applicants for the position with guidance from the county’s administrative committee. Door County has only had two county administrators, Jude Genereaux & Serpe, who was let go after six years essentially because of allegations related to his management style.
