The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is investigating the report of the theft of a purse from a woman shopping at the Walmart store off Egg Harbor Road. According to the story posted on the department’s web site Wednesday, a young man ran up to the woman & took her purse from her shopping cart in the store. The suspect was said to be wearing blue pants, white shoes, a blue baseball cap, & a blue & yellow striped Nautica Jeans Company hooded sweatshirt & was seen running through the parking lot in the direction of Saint Joseph’s cemetery. It was later learned that he had a bmx bicycle parked close to the cemetery. Officers are asking for help in identifying the suspect. To that end, several pictures have been posted on the Sturgeon Bay Police Department web site.
