The latest tool being offered by the Sturgeon Bay Police Department to keep the public informed about what’s going on in the community is now available for Android or I-Phone users. The app has 24 possible features & options. Some of the features include department contacts, push notifications, feedback & tip forms, as well as options to retrieve information from FEMA, the National Weather Service & the National Terror Advisory System. Other uses include links about wanted persons, videos & blog posts. The phone application can be downloaded free by searching “my police department” or “my p-d” in the I-Phone or Android Marketplace. Once downloaded, you simply navigate to “Wisconsin” & select the “Sturgeon Bay Police Department.” Public Information Officer Chad Mielke says the police app is for routine questions & information sharing.
