Four months after a fire leveled the Roadhouse of Carlsville, debris from the bar & grill located at 5790 Highway 42 was removed last week. The structure had stood at it’s location for 106 years before the blaze hit on June 14th & left the building a total loss. However, the cleanup was delayed for insurance purposes while the state went through a permitting process. In a published report, the owners of the Roadhouse indicated that the building would be rebuilt. However the town of Egg Harbor indicates that there’s been no movement in that direction of late. We’re told the owners would need to provide an architectural plan in order to get the ball rolling.
