Road Work Continues in Door County

With weather conditions expected to be stable this week, road crews could get a lot of work done before the weekend. The Department of Transportation says the project on Highway 42/57 from the spot where the two highways converge in southern Door County and the Bayview Bridge in Sturgeon Bay will focus on concrete work on the right turn lane at the intersection. Workers are also expected to shape the gravel shoulders in the asphalt overlay areas. The project is expected to end in October.

The Highway 42 project, from the intersection near the Mill Supper Club north of Sturgeon Bay to a point just south of Egg Harbor is expected to consist of milling and paving from Clark Lake Road to the vicinity of Monument Point Road. The DOT says it hopes to have the Highway 42 project wrapped up by October 24th.
