Organizers of this weekend’s Door County Triathlon have announced that a number of roads will be impacted by the event.
*Bayshore Drive (Cty B) from Murphy Park to Olde Stone Quarry Park will be closed from 8 – 11am Saturday.
*Horseshoe Bay Road (Cty G) from Murphy Park to Bluff Pass Road will be closed from 9 – 11am Saturday.
*Bayshore Drive (Cty B) from Murphy Park to Carlsville Road will close Sunday from 8 – 10am.
*3rd Avenue and Memorial Drive in Sturgeon Bay will be closed from 8:30 – 10am from Alabama to South 18th Avenue on Sunday.
The route bicyclists will travel in Sturgeon Bay Sunday begins on Bayshore Drive, crosses 3rd Avenue, continues on Memorial Drive and goes under the Bay View Bridge. The riders will head North on 18th Place to Utah Street, turn right on Cove Road, left on Canal Road and left onto Buffalo Ridge Trail to the city limits. The competitors will then turn around and head back through the city, making their way back to the Egg Harbor area.
Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling in these areas during the morning and early afternoon hours this weekend.
