Rise In Rabies Quarantines

The Door County Humane Society has been seeing an increase in the number of rabies quarantines this year. Executive Director Carrie Counihan says a dog must be brought to the animal shelter and watched if a bite occurs and there’s a problem with the animal’s vaccination record. She told Eddy Allen that the dogs are segregated for a period of time…
Counihan says with the recent very warm weather, even the friendliest of dogs can get a bit cranky and nip someone. So make sure the family pooch doesn’t have to make a trip to the animal shelter.
