There could be a day in the not too distant future when a parcel on the west side of Sturgeon Bay houses Tugboat Sally’s Brewery and Restaurant. Developers Robert and Noreen Pollman presented their concept of a 300 seat restaurant/brew pub during a recent meeting of the city plan commission. The business would be located between a proposed hotel and the Door County Maritime Museum at 92 East Maple Street. The brew pub would feature outdoor seating facing the water, a nautical theme throughout, and, a retail section for specialty items. In addition, weekend entertainment would be provided, either inside or outside. The layout consists of a 7,700 square foot building with a New England look and space for 800 square feet of outdoor seating. Following the presentation, the plan commission agreed to continue the planned unit development process for the proposed restaurant and brew pub.
