While some in the crowd at the Sturgeon Bay Plan Commission meeting were angry with the plan commission’s decision on the waterfront hotel, others expressed disappointment. While much of the emphasis was focused on the proposed hotel, others objected to the size and scope of the public access areas in the waterfront plan.
On the other side of the coin, Bill Chaudoir was pleased with the outcome of the plan commission vote on the hotel proposal. The Executive Director of the Door County Economic Development Corporation said the committee’s recommendation was the right thing to do…

Chaudoir also noted that the developer, Bob Papke, has already made revisions to the original plan and other accommodations are possible as part of the PUD process.
