A public hearing on a proposed community based retirement facility has been scheduled for Wednesday, February 15th, before the Sturgeon Bay plan commission. The session is expected to begin at 7 pm that evening. Tammy Begley has petitioned the city for a conditional use permit to construct the CBRF for a minimum of 68 residents on property south of Utah street and west of highway 42/57. The facility is intended to provide assisted living for the elderly. The application is on file with the community development department and can be viewed weekdays between 8 am and 4:30 pm. The public is invited to give testimony in favor or against the proposed conditional use permit, either in person or in writing. Written comments must be received no later than 4pm on Wednesday, February 15th.
