Peninsula Players’ Act II Housing Campaign

Earlier this week, the Peninsula Players Theater company announced their Act II Housing Campaign, a fundraising effort to help them provide more adequate housing for some of the personnel essential to the theater’s work. Managing Director Brian Kelsey explains here some of the on-site housing that is in much need of upgrading……….

They were very honored to receive a $500,000 lead gift from the Patrick & Beatrice Haggerty Foundation, which was a great start towards their final goal of $3.5 million. This campaign actually started shortly before the pandemic, but Kelsey says they had to press pause and concentrate on other issues until recently…….

The theater has contracted with the Boldt company for the work, and they are currently planning to break ground this September. Once the new housing is in place, they will be better suited to attract and retain staff and interns.
