The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department is reminding property owners to lock the doors of their sheds & outbuildings after a rash of burglaries recently. Over the past few months, numerous overnight thefts & burglaries have been reported to the sheriff’s department, with break-ins to sheds, garages & other outbuildings throughout Kewaunee County. The thieves seem to be after tools in most of these thefts. Some of the buildings were left unlocked & some have been entered forcibly. The sheriff’s department reminds property owners to secure their buildings with locks & to have a good inventory of what is in them with serial numbers. Having that documentation can help positively identify your property if you are the victim of a burglary. The Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department also is looking for information on suspicious vehicle sightings between April 20th & April 28th. If anyone has any information on these thefts they are encouraged to call the Kewaunee County Sheriff’s Department at (920)-388-7108 or the Kewaunee County Crime Stoppers at (920)-388-0440.
