It’s going to take a little longer before the pool at the Northern Door YMCA program center in Fish Creek reopens to the public. The “Y’s” Molly Schroeder says the new date for the pool’s reopening is Monday, December 8th. The original completion date was expected to be on Monday, November 24th. Schroeder says the YMCA apologizes for the delayed start up date, but the staff wants to ensure that all aspects of the Northern Door Aquatics Center are 100% operational. The new heating and dehumidification system is state-of-the-art and the focus is on insuring that all equipment is operating at optimum performance before it is reopened.
Schroeder says the “Y” appreciates everyone’s patience as this project continues to progress with the knowledge that the aquatic center will be better for years to come.
