Next Sturgeon Bay Police Chief Chosen

The Sturgeon Bay Police Department announced Friday evening that a next police chief has been chosen to fill the position after current Chief Arliegh Porter’s retirement date of October 2nd. The Sturgeon Bay Police and Fire Commission had a long day of interviews and the decision process. By day’s end, they chose Lieutenant Clint Henry to be the next police chief.

Lieutenant Henry, a Sturgeon Bay resident, has been with the department since March of 2005, when he came here after serving on the City of Marshfield’s police department. His experience in law enforcement includes time spent as drug investigator, sergeant, and lieutenant.

Police and Fire Commission Chair Dave Poulton commented, “Throughout his career and through the interview process, he exhibited the leadership qualities we believe are necessary to carry the department forward.”
