The Sturgeon Bay Board of Education met in closed session Monday morning to select the district’s next superintendent. After reviewing information about those interested in the job, the field was narrowed to 5 for interviews and then the final 2 emerged. After further interviews and visits to the schools where the finalists worked, the board has selected Ripon High School Principal Dan Tjernagel. A contract has been worked out and will be presented to the Board of Education at its next meeting on Wednesday for final approval.
