Nelson to Resign from Habitat

Rick Nelson, who has been the Executive Director of the Door County Chapter of Habitat for Humanity since 2005, has tendered his resignation. His last day on the job will be August 24th. A Moravian missionary in Honduras for a decade, Nelson is returning to the Central American country to help a Moravian hospital with administrative & financial management systems. During his tenure in Door County, multiple homes were built, the Re-store was created, an E-waste program helped dispose of old electronic gear, the “A Brush With Kindness” program provided painting & repair services for homeowners, & global village visits aided Honduran families with housing. An effort is underway to find a replacement who can lead the local affiliate into its 22nd year.
