A few tickets are still available at Concepts Bridal and Formalwear in downtown Sturgeon Bay for Saturday’s Miss Door County Scholarship Pageant. Shirley Ehlers says the cost is $15 for the pageant on February 7th and $7 for the rehearsal the night before. Both programs will begin at 7PM at the Southern Door Community Auditorium.
Four young women will vie for the title of Miss Door County. They are, Ashley Kinnard-Carstens, a Sevastopol High School student and daughter of Bob Carstens and Jessica Ebel, Hannah Cole, daughter of Jerald and Holly Cole and a student at the UW/Oshkosh, April Delfosse, a student at UW/Oshkosh and daughter of Dean and Robin Delfosse… and, Abbigayle Grosbeier, daughter of Tom and April Grosbeier and a student at Southern Door High School. The young woman chosen as Miss Door County will represent the program at the Miss Wisconsin Pageant in Oshkosh.
Seven Miss Door County Outstanding Teen contestants will also compete for an opportunity to be Door County’s representative in Oshkosh during the Miss Wisconsin Pageant. The list of outstanding teens includes, Hailey Benesh, daughter of Jim and Amy Benesh and a
Sturgeon Bay High School student, Elizabeth Buhr, a Southern Door student and daughter of Shane and Jennifer Buhr, Mackenzie Counard, daughter of Dennis Counard and Stephanie Nardi and a Southern Door student, Rachel Coulthurst, a student at Southern Door and daughter of Greg and Christine Coulthurst, Ashley Delfosse, daughter of Dean and Robin Delfosse and a Southern Door student, Abigail Fredrich, a Southern Door student and daughter of Paul Fredrich and Patti Taylor, and, Ashton Spritka, daughter of Wayne and Naomi Spritka and a student at Sturgeon Bay High School.
We’re also told that a dozen princesses will take part in the Miss Door County Scholarship Pageant Saturday.
