A public informational meeting on the proposed reconstruction of Highway 42, from Country Walk Drive to Scandia Road, in Sister Bay, is scheduled for Tuesday, May 22nd, at the Sister Bay fire station. The meeting, which will be held from 5:30PM to 7PM,includes a short presentation at 5:40PM. Construction is scheduled from September of 2014 to June of 2015. The village plans to do a separate project to replace sanitary sewer & water main prior to the DOT project, tentatively in 2013. The project includes:
-Widening the roadway to incorporate shared bicycle/parking lanes
-Replacement of storm sewer
-Addition of curb & gutter & sidewalk between Country Walk Drive & Bluffside Lane
-Realignment of the Highway 57 intersection
Staff from the DOT will be available to discuss the project in an open house format. Persons with knowledge about historic buildings & structures, archaeological sites, septic systems, drain tiles or drainage problems near the project should plan to attend & discuss them with staff members.
