A 34-year old northern Door County man was sentenced to seven months in jail and placed on ten years probation this week in Door County Court on one count of first degree reckless homicide/delivery of drugs. Judge D. Todd Ehlers handed down the guilty verdict in the case of Alvin McFeeley of Egg Harbor. Judge Ehlers initially sentenced McFeeley to five years in prison and ten years of extended supervision, but then stayed the sentence. The county man was also fined $250 and costs, must make restitution, obtain an AODA assessment, and maintain full employment. McFeeley was arrested in April for supplying heroin to a Town of Sevastopol man who died from an overdose. As part of his sentence, McFeeley must also comply with any counseling, assessments, evaluations or programs recommended, may not possess or consume controlled substances without a valid prescription, & may not have contact with persons mentioned in the court complaint.
