The Sturgeon Bay Police Department is trying to determine who took the 4th of July a little too far. Officers following up on a vandalism report in the 200 block of 17th Drive found that a mailbox had been destroyed by an explosive device. They also determined that the device was homemade. Evidence was recovered from the crime scene & is being processed. The department is interested in information about anyone acting suspiciously around 11PM on July 3rd.
