Little Chute Man Convicted of 8th & 9th DWI

A 57-year old Little Chute man was sentenced to four years in prison & five years of extended supervision in Door County Circuit Court Tuesday on an eighth & ninth offense of driving while intoxicated & a companion charge of bail jumping. Judge D. Todd Ehlers fined Kenneth Carson $3,000 & costs, revoked his drivers license for 36 months & told him to have an ignition interlock device installed on his vehicles for three years on each count. Carson must also maintain absolute sobriety & obtain an AODA assessment & may not possess controlled substances or prescription drugs without a valid prescription. He was given credit for time already served. Judge Ehlers said Carson must act on the bulk of the court orders after his prison time is up. The charges stem from citations written in Sturgeon Bay in March of this year & in the Village of Egg Harbor in May of 2012. He entered no contest pleas to the charges.
