It appears that a lightning strike caused a fire that damaged a large shed Monday evening on the Nancy Pfister property on Dunn Road, in the Institute area. Four units & eight firefighters of the Sturgeon Bay Fire Department were paged out at 7:01PM after the call came in indicating there had been a lightning strike, no fire, but smoke in the building. The fire crew found that a post between two garages was completely consumed by fire & there was some smoldering found in the building. A small amount of water was used to put out the hot spot & the shed was checked out before firefighters cleared the scene at 8:14PM.
