Highway 42/57 Road Work Update

There’s a reason why many of the orange barrels in the road construction zone near Sturgeon Bay were pulled back last week. According to the department of transportation update, the contractor finished the concrete point repair & concrete replacement work along the inside lane of Highway 42/57, northbound & southbound, began installing signs & completed traffic signal work at the intersections of Ashland Avenue & South Neenah Avenue. This week, the DOT says new signs will be installed & work is expected to begin on the Highway 42 northbound turn lane onto Highway 57 heading north. The $1.3 million road project, which began this month, covers 7.4 miles & is expected to be completed in October.
