The State Department of Tourism says, for every dollar spent on tourism advertising, six dollars was returned to the state in additional tax revenue. In addition, visitors generated $1.3 billion in state & local taxes in 2012, saving Wisconsin taxpayers nearly $575 per household. Governor Walker also took his tourism message to Milwaukee, Wisconsin Dells & La Crosse.
